The MCTC Mathematics Department offers a wide variety of developmental and college-level transfer math coursework to serve the needs of our diverse student population. We also offer the Mathematics Associate in Science degree which is designed to prepare students to transfer into the junior or third year of a mathematics major in a four year college or university. AMATYC Student Math League Competition MCTC math students are encouraged to participate in this math competition along with community college students around the country. The Round 2 exam will be given Friday, March 5, 2010, noon-1pm in H0700. See the Math Competition link for more information. New Developmental Math Courses for Fall 2010 Two new developmental math courses, Math 77 "Beginning Algebra with ALEKS" and Math 88, "Intermediate Algebra with ALEKS", will be offered beginning Fall Semester 2010.
